Welcome to Finca MiraVida

A place where families come together to create something special —
a connected, supportive neighborhood surrounded by the beauty of the Costa Rican Caribbean.

Here, everyone owns their own piece of paradise — 1 to 5 hectares of private land, fully legal and registered in their own name — while sharing the vision of living close to nature and raising our children in freedom, safety, and community.

At Finca MiraVida, we believe in balance:
community and independence, togetherness and privacy, laughter and quiet moments.

Our dream is to build a neighborhood where kids grow up side by side, best friends just around the corner — and where families support each other like an extended family.

It’s a new way of living — grounded, real, and full of life.

The Land

Welcome to 67 hectares of tropical paradise — a private haven surrounded by jungle, rivers, and breathtaking sea views.

Finca MiraVida lies just 10 minutes from the Caribbean beaches and about 20 minutes from Cahuita, high enough to enjoy the breeze and views, but still easy to reach.

What makes us different from most other projects is the freedom and space we offer.

Here, families can own 1 to 5 hectares of titled land, fully legal and in their own name — at a price that’s often half of what you would pay elsewhere in Costa Rica, where most places offer only small lots and shared properties.

The land is alive — with howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, and countless birds calling this their home.

A private road leads only to the people who belong here, giving a sense of peace, safety, and connection to nature that’s hard to find anywhere else.

From your hill, you can wake up to the sounds of the jungle and the sparkle of the Caribbean Sea on the horizon — a daily reminder of what true freedom feels like.

Life at Finca MiraVida

Every day here is a little adventure — children playing in the jungle, monkeys watching from the trees, goats and chickens roaming free, and neighbors sharing laughter and good food.

Life at Finca MiraVida is simple, real, and full of moments that remind us what happiness truly means.

About us

We’re a family who has been choosing a different path for many years. After leaving Europe, we built a simple, beautiful life in Dahab, Egypt — nine years of sunshine, community, and the quiet rhythm of the desert. It was a place that taught us freedom and simplicity, and we will always be grateful for that chapter of our lives.

But during the pandemic, we realized something important: even in the desert, far away from everything, we were still deeply dependent on systems we didn’t control.
And as the region (and the world) became unstable and war came closer, it became clear that we needed a place where our safety, our children’s future, and our way of life weren’t hanging on things outside our hands.

So we followed our instinct — toward water, nature, stability, and a place where life grows instead of shrinks.
That journey brought us to Costa Rica, to a land full of life, rivers, green jungles, and a feeling of possibility we hadn’t felt in years.

And along that path, one truth became very clear:
It takes a village to raise children — and living far from our own families, we needed to build our own village.

That’s how the idea of a like-minded neighborhood was born.

A place where children grow up together, where parents support each other, where no one feels alone — and where we learn to grow our own food, step by step, reducing our dependence on the toxic “food” sold in supermarkets. We’re not fully there yet, but with a like-minded neighborhood, we truly believe it’s possible.
A place where neighbors become chosen family, where safety comes from connection, and where life is shaped not by fear, but by intention.

Finca MiraVida is our dream — a neighborhood with heart, surrounded by jungle and ocean, built slowly and lovingly with people who share similar values.
A place to grow roots, to breathe, and to create a life that feels real again.
